Where these screenshots come from

Almost every slide screenshot has the same story behind it. The deck was shared as a PDF, or presented on a call, or posted as images, and the one slide you need is the one you cannot edit. The .pptx exists somewhere and you do not have it.

A screenshot is a good input for this. The type was rendered by a computer at a known size, the panels have clean edges, and there is no camera blur. The recovery measures all of that off your pixels rather than guessing at it.

The one thing worth doing before you upload: take the screenshot at full size rather than scaled down. Everything here is measured, and a downscaled screenshot has less to measure — small labels are the first thing to go.

Questions

Does screenshot quality matter?

Yes, more than anything else. Take it at full size — if you cannot read the small labels at 100%, neither can this. Upscaling afterwards does not put the detail back.

Can I do a whole deck?

One image at a time. Each run is a separate slide, and each is charged separately, so it is worth doing the slides you actually need.

Will it look identical?

Close, not identical. Layout, colour, and sizes are measured and come back accurately; the typeface is a stand-in unless you redraw a block in the slide's own lettering.
